Women’s Rights Field Trip

March 15, 2025

Women’s Rights National Historical Park
National Women’s Hall of Fame
Seneca Falls, New York

The Women’s Rights National Historical Park in Seneca Falls, New York, marks the site of the first women’s rights convention in US history. In 1848, reformers from all over the country met in Seneca Falls and wrote “The Declaration of Sentiments.” This document paved the way for the modern feminist movement and inspired global struggles for civil rights, human rights, and equality.

Students will learn about the Seneca Falls convention from National Park Service rangers and explore the historic site and museum. Students will also have the opportunity to visit the nearby Women’s Hall of Fame, which features a museum dedicated to change-making women from around the world.

It will be a single-day trip on a charter bus, departing from and returning to Youngstown on March 15, 2025. Through the generosity of Dean Howell and BCLASSE, each student will receive free admission to the museums. Lunch is also provided.
