Women at Work: The Steel Museum received a grant from the Ohio Humanities Council to research the changes in conditions that women working outside the home face. We hhave been collecting oral histories from women working during the 1970s-2000s. On Thursday, March 16 at 6pm we will present our preliminary findings of the challenges women face in the workplace, historically as well as in contemporary times. This is a free event, at the Youngstown Historical Center of Industry and Labor and will feature Dr. Marcelle Wilson, Susan Lowery and Nicole Marino. No reservations necessary.
