Welcome

The Women’s and Gender Studies program at Youngstown State University is an interdisciplinary program that seeks to improve students’ knowledge of gender roles and relations across cultures. The courses within the program investigate the intersection of gender and society, race, religion, family, justice, history, communication, appearance, and more. The affiliated faculty of the Women’s and Gender Studies program come from across the university.

Students who minor in Women’s and Gender Studies are well-prepared and pursued for employment in for-profit and non-profit organizations, veteran’s advocacy groups, social rights agencies, as well as graduate work in a variety of disciplines.
